At Innova Industries we conduct different kinds of transactions all the time. Sometimes customers are interested in purchasing a piece of equipment that just gets the job done. Sometimes, they want us to do a full refurbishment (as in this blog post from June). And sometimes, customers want to do their own projects. Recently a California trucking company purchased a few chassis from us, some tri-axle 20 ft. chassis and some 20 ft.-40 ft combination tri-axle chassis. The chassis were in good mechanical shape, but could use a little TLC on the paint job.
After a little sand blasting and painting, these units look good as new! They already meet current DOT and FMCSA requirements with heavy duty steel I-beam frames, ABS systems, hub piloted disc wheels, and radial tires. Removing the surface rust and layering on a good primer and epoxy paint coat will protect the life of the steel and good maintenance will ensure these chassis are in service for a long time to come.
